Diamond Beach, Iceland

Diamond Beach is located on the south coast of Iceland, about five hours drive from Reykjavik. Inland is a glacier lagoon, where massive chunks of ice break into the water. The icebergs that have fallen off the glacier float around the lagoon until they head out to sea. From there, they wash up on the black volcanic sand of Diamond Beach. The icebergs' size and shape differ depending on how long they have been in the lagoon or out at sea. It's a must-see on any southern Iceland road trip.
